A STUDY IN FREEZING COLD

Помнится, писал этот этюд в Симферопольском Воронцовском парке на десятиградусном морозе. Эксперимента ради. Краска не хотела ложиться на моментально покрывшийся изморозью картон, пришлось снять перчатку и втирать её пальцами. Змерз як цуцик. Зато какая память)

Gosh, it was minus 10 degrees (14 degrees Fahrenheit) as I stood there painting in Vorontsovsky park in Simferopol. The oil paints just wouldn’t stick to the cardboard that was instantly covered in a thin layer of ice, so I had to take off my glove and rub it in with my fingers which almost turned into icicles. It was freezing cold! Then again, what a memory)
